Geography: Bangalore lies in the southeast of the South Indian state of Karnataka.
It is in the heart of the Mysore Plateau at an average elevation of 920 m.Due to its high elevation,
Bangalore usually enjoys moderate climate throughout the year, although
occasional heat waves can make things very uncomfortable in the summer.
Bangalore has a handful of freshwater lakes and water tanks, the largest of which are Madivala tank,
Hebbal lake, Ulsoor lake and Sankey Tank. Groundwater occurs in silty to
sandy layers of the alluvial sediments.Vegetation in the city is primarily in the form of
large deciduous canopy and minority coconut trees.

Nandi Temple,Lal Bagh,The Vidhana Soudha,Bangalore Palace,
ISKCON Temple and Cubbon Park
Nandi Temple- is named after the large granite Nandi
monolith placed on a plinth in the temple shrine (garbhagriha) which has
become blackened from years of being rubbed with charcoal and oil.
Lal Bagh or Lal Bagh Botanical Garden- is a
well known botanical garden in Bangalore, India The garden was
commissioned by the ruler of Mysore, Hyder Ali. It has a famous glass
house which hosts yearly flower show. It also has an aquarium and a lake,
and is one of the tourist attractions in Bangalore.
The Vidhana Soudha, located in Bangalore (Bengaluru),
is the seat of the state legislature of Karnataka. It is an imposing
building, constructed in a style sometimes described as 'Neo-Dravidian',
and incorporates elements of Indo-Saracenic, Rajasthani Jharokha and
Dravidian styles.
Bangalore Palace- a palace located in the city of Bangalore
, India, was built to look like a smaller replica of the Windsor Castle
in England.It was built by Rev. Garrett, who was the first Principal of
the Central High School in Bangalore, now known as Central College.
The construction of the palace was started in 1862 and completed in 1944.
Cubbon Park- It is another famous centrally located park of
the City known for its toy train.
ISKCON Temple - (International Society for Krishna
Consciousness) Built in an ornate architectural style, the Krishna Temple
is a blend of modern technology and spiritual harmony. The 7-acre
(28,000 m2) temple is situated on west of chord road, Rajajinagar and
finest fusion of modern and traditional elements of architecture.
Bannerghatta National Park- is situated 22 km south of
Bangalore. This hilly place is the home for one of the richest natural,
zoological reserves. The 25,000 acre (101 km) zoological park makes
this a major tourist attraction of Bangalore.
